15 minutes |
Something I've been doing in my sketchbook this year, that Coach may recognize, is "10 minute portraits". For the most part, they were done during my lunch period when I didn't want to talk about SAT scores or the math test or the drama of who's dating who, and so instead I would look in a mirror, make a weird face, and have ten minutes to draw it. My sketchbook was filled with these weird images, some of them not very good honestly, but each time getting better in different aspects, whether it be shading, value, or proportion. For my final aspect of the fantastic four project, I wanted to do my final "10 minute portrait" (this one actually took me 15 oops) of the year!
So here we have it! Some of the proportions are a little off, and the shading is sketchy and loose, but I think this is a good end to a project I've been working on on-and-off this year. This aspect of the fantastic four project was meant to deal with the "identity" side, as this was a drawing based off one small moment in my life, exactly what I looked like and felt like then and there. I think I will actually continue working on this project over the summer, as its quick and easy, and especially with traveling I can focus on unique and quirky people I see, but I really hope you enjoy the final installment (for this year)!
