.The amount of time and dedication Parth Kothekar puts into his work is truly astounding.
Each of these images you see is not photoshopped, but rather hand drawn and cut from paper. The amount of detail each work has is simply breathtaking, as each piece of hair, texture in clothing, and detail of faces is painstakingly cut. While his career started with these paper cuttings, Kothekar has taken his work even further, turning his intricate, detailed paper cuttings into jewelry. Kothekar now runs a successful jewelry business, and while his name is still relatively new, his presence on social media outlets such as Facebook and Instagram have caused his popularity to grow significantly. Kothekar now sells most of his work off of independent sites such as Etsy, and has gained an incredible following in the past few months alone.

Perhaps my favorite of Kothekar's work is how he creates sculptures from these paper cuttings. One of my favorite pieces he made uses an old pair of glasses as the framework, and creates a beautiful, intricate scene using the paper cutouts. Maybe it's just my love of funky glasses, but I truly adore this piece, as I feel it creates a feeling and tells a story in a different way than a lot of Kothekar's other work, however an absolutely beautiful way. This piece is so unconventional yet so elegant, and I think this juxtaposition it something that truly makes it stand out.
The thought of doing such intricate work just makes my head spin, but watching Kothekar in action it is obvious his heart is truly invested into what he creates. This video I found of him creating a paper cutting surprised me, to be perfectly honest I couldn't even tell what he was creating until the very end when he held it up, it was almost like an optical illusion! I think his dedication to his craft is so inspiring, and the end result truly shows the love that Parth Kotherkar has for what he does.
